Hamdija Jusufagic the winner of the 2017 Pioneer Prize in Sweden

Hamdija Jusufagic, System Verification’s majority owner and CEO, has been awarded the 2017 Pioneer Prize in Sweden by IFS and their partners ALMI and SEB. The prize was presented by HM King Carl XVI Gustaf at a ceremony at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.

The prize ceremony took place on the 26th of October at the Bernadotte Library at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Hamdija Jusufagic was very happy and grateful to receive this prestigious prize.

“I am enormously honoured and proud to receive this prize, and I hope that our journey inspires many other entrepreneurs to believe in their ideas, break the patterns and be courageous. The prize inspires us to continue our work to improve digital life,” says Hamdija Jusufagic.

The jury’s reasoning:

“He is one of those committed second generation immigrants who chose to start a business after many years of academic studies. In addition to steady economic growth, the company is driven by strong company values. His innovative approach, ability to recognize new opportunities and his will to contribute to the society, are key factors why Hamdija Jusufagic has succeeded in making System Verification AB the largest independent provider of Quality Assurance in Sweden and in the Nordics. Hamdija Jusufagic receives the prize for his leadership and his values. With employees from more than 25 countries, he is a great role model who lives up to the company’s motto “We create new opportunities.”  

The Pioneer Prize is an annual award established in 2009 by IFS, the International Entrepreneur Association in Sweden, in cooperation with ALMI and SEB. The Pioneer category is awarded to a person with a foreign background who has lived in Sweden for a longer period of time and who has succeeded through hard work in building up a growth company that is innovative within its industry. On the 4th of October, Hamdija Jusufagic was awarded the 2017 Pioneer Prize in Skåne.

System Verification was founded in 2002 by Hamdija Jusufagic. He has over the years been awarded several prestigious prizes such as Business Leader of the Year in Sweden 2013, Skåne’s Fastest Growing Company of the Year 2009 and Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008.
