In 2019, we established in Bonn and Frankfurt. Since then, we have grown a lot at our two offices in Germany. The time has now come for the next step in Frankfurt: we’re moving to a new and bigger office.
During the first half of 2020 and despite the pandemic, around 10 new employees started their journey in our German Team. Furthermore, we also won new customers. As the team will continue to grow, we needed more space to allow employees to work from the office, especially in times like these when many customers prefer consultants to work remotely. That’s why the Frankfurt team had been looking for a place with higher flexibility and an office concept based on co-working. They found exactly that in the Omniturm skyscraper, located at the heart of Frankfurt’s financial district, close to Taunusanlage and many Bank and Finance companies such as Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and ING.
The official ‘moving day’ was 1st September. Two days later, the employees were welcomed to the new office with a ‘fika’ celebration. German CEO Erwin Probst brought cake for everyone. Since then, the employees are back to working from the office again – in a safe and responsible way.
What are the main advantages of the new office?
“In addition to different co-working possibilities, the friendly and open-minded atmosphere is a perfect match with System Verification’s mindset,” says Celina Strietzel, HR Manager. “Since the coronavirus has affected our everyday lives and our way of working, I’m very pleased that we have found a place where it is easy for our employees to keep their distance and still work together. Although we implemented various virtual initiatives and digital meetings, I think we all have really missed seeing each other in person – working and enjoying time together is the basis of our company culture.”
“The new office is a good mix of having our own space and the flexibility of access to an additional shared workspace. We also have the possibility to rent meeting rooms of different sizes. I really like this concept,” says Erwin Probst. “Although we’ve had several channels and meetings like ‘virtueller Kaffeeklatsch’, it felt really good and important to meet my colleagues in person again.”
How do you handle the COVID-19 situation when working together from the office?
“We take this virus very seriously. We are always thinking about new ways of working together. The office and co-working area provide a lot of space to keep distance between each other. In addition to the regulations from our landlord, we have communicated hygiene rules and are using an internal platform, where everyone can sign up when planning to work from the office. This is pretty important for greater traceability as well,” says Celina Strietzel.
What do you think about the new office?
“The new office is very pleasant. It helps you focus on your current work while discussing new ideas and thoughts for the future. This new office will encourage new achievements!” says consultant Moritz Barbarino.
New office – what’s next?
“Besides moving, at the beginning of September we decided to start up with our recruitment processes and activities again. I really enjoy talking to candidates again and together think about future possibilities. Right now we have ongoing discussions with many really interesting candidates,” says our German HR Manager.
