System Verification Celebrates 10 Years of Success in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Throughout its two decades of existence, System Verification has navigated numerous challenges, experiencing both triumphs and setbacks, ultimately shaping it into the successful company it is today. The company has expanded to encompass 13 offices across four countries: Sweden, Germany, Poland, and Bosnia.

A decade ago, System Verification embarked on an ambitious expansion plan, when Hamdija Jusufagić, Founder and Chairman Of The Board at System Verification decided to establish an office in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. With a vision of what the company would become, the Sarajevo office marked its start as a modest team of just five individuals.

Fast forward to the present day, System Verification Bosnia has grown into a thriving organization, with a team of over 60 talented employees. The company stands strong, with one of its original employees, Kadira Šubo, now serving as the CEO. Her unwavering commitment and guidance have been instrumental in forming the solid foundation upon which the company now stands. The journey has been marked by impressive achievements, innovative projects, and the establishment of educational programs and internships with which it continues to shape the future of the quality assurance landscape in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and worldwide. During this time, System Verification has provided numerous young individuals with their first job opportunities, providing them with the proper guidance, and support they need in order to pursue their career goals. We take pride in the fact that after completing five internships, almost all interns have been employed, and a significant number of them continue to be part of our team, where they continue to develop and grow.

“I joined SYVE Bosnia in 2018 as one of the first interns, during the company’s fifth anniversary. Initially, with around 20 employees, it was easy to capture everyone in a photograph, but now with over 60 people, it’s become a challenge. The healthy and nurtured company culture, alongside the amazing and ambitious team, impressed me as I integrated into the company. Despite the poor working conditions in our country, System Verification operates on different standards and values, allowing for personal and professional growth. I believe the company’s greatest success lies in its employees, and their shared values have kept me here. The primary objective of the office in Bosnia was to build a company guided by clear values, aiming to create a healthy work environment aligned with European standards, emphasizing quality and equality. Over time, we have consistently upheld these goals, developing a company that remains resolute in its values. Our team proudly showcases a proven diversity, with 63 employees, a significant number of which 56% are women, occupying various leadership positions.

“A small team of people welcomed me when I joined SYVE Bosnia, and I was the 7th member. It was a warm welcome, and I immediately felt that I had come to the right place. Seven years later, we still welcome our new colleagues in the same way, with the same warmth. Our company culture hasn’t changed much over the years, even though we are now ten times bigger. We have all put a lot of effort into preserving it. Initially, the Sarajevo team depended heavily on the Swedish teams and only had QA consultants. However, we grow a lot, and, apart from the group joint efforts, we now manage various roles internally and externally, and have our own projects and ideas, which makes me proud to be a part of it.” Zinajda Hasanović, Team Manager, and Test Engineer at System Verification.

Growth is a challenging journey, yet we take great pride in the fact that our very first client, whom we acquired a decade ago, continues to collaborate with us to this day, which we consider one of the biggest successes. Furthermore, we are thrilled to report that our dedicated team, now consisting of over 30 skilled professionals, supports them. Sustained expansion requires a methodical approach, which is precisely why our company has never resorted to employee layoffs during two global crises that have transpired throughout our existence thus far.

But our growth, and values are not only concentrated on us, and our company, as we strive to use the assets, the possibilities, and the knowledge to help others as well. Throughout these years, System Verification Bosnia has been a part of many charity organizations spreading from donating our equipment to children in need, to various projects, and we are continuously finding ways to contribute to society in the best way possible, and locating organizations that are in the biggest need of donations.

“You know that something is good if it is built on proper foundations. Ten years ago, with just a few of us, often acting on our own due to many other responsibilities our director had setting up the company in motion, we created a strong base by cultivating trust, loyalty, and effectiveness. We formed a close bond through various activities, including even the simplest ones like assembling the office tables and chairs. We were entrusted with the crucial task of establishing the Bosnian office. I believe the first true milestone was our successful takeover within just two months, working with our colleagues from Sweden. As part of the original team, we shouldered the responsibility of ensuring the success of the Bosnian office.

Unfortunately, due to external factors, I had to leave Bosnia and relocate to Germany, where I started working for another company. Despite the presence of numerous consultant companies in Germany, I never ceased to think about the bond I had with the SYVE team. Hamdija, the company Founder and Chairman of the Board once said, “Don’t worry, we may hear from each other again.” – And we did. After around two years, System Verification opened an office in Bonn and Frankfurt, Germany. After a few coincidental conversations, I rejoined the company. I was delighted to be part of SYVE again, and the fact that I eagerly seized the first opportunity to return speaks volumes about the company itself.

Apart from the company’s values, what kept me eager to be here is the open communication and the freedom to express ideas, even if it means speaking directly with the C-level managers. I believe SYVE Bosnia is already successful and well-known in the market, which attracts many talented individuals who aspire to work there. The company has truly held onto its values, and I envision SYVE’s future to be just like its present, true to its core principles, and maintaining its values, but growing bigger, and becoming stronger with every day.”.
