Digital culture center Space chooses System Verification as strategic QA partner
Opening November 27, Space will be Stockholm’s new digital culture center for gaming, music and content creation. For testing and quality assurance of the digital environment, Space chose System Verification as their strategic partner.
With music studios, gaming and coworking under one roof, Space aims to be a natural meeting place for the digital generation. Space also features The Avicii Experience – an interactive exhibition and journey into Tim ‘Avicii’ Bergling’s musical universe – as well as northern Europe’s largest permanent arena for esports.
The arena and approximately 400 gaming computers let Space target both the professional esports scene as well as the public. Focus is to create great experiences.
“For us, it is important that we offer technology and a gaming experience of the highest quality,” says Peter Ahnegård, head of Space Portal and Gaming Operations at Space. “The sign-up process, getting access to a computer, being able to order a drink while you play – it’s all part of the Space experience. And when we looked into the existing systems on the market, we didn’t think they were quite up to scratch to create what we were after. We wanted to build something that was bigger, better and cooler.”
A complex project with tough requirements, in other words. This also places high demands on quality assurance and testing.
“We realised early on that we need professional tools and methods to test the system adequately. So, we got in touch with System Verification,” says Peter Ahnegård. “Before we’d even signed an agreement, they helped us specify our needs through an initial consultative process. That inspired confidence. They demonstrated a high degree of knowledge and delivery capabilities. At the same time, they presented a number of useful tools that could benefit our project.”
