Opening November 27, Space will be Stockholm’s new digital culture center for gaming, music and content creation. For testing and quality assurance of the digital environment, Space chose System Verification as their strategic partner.
With music studios, gaming and coworking under one roof, Space aims to be a natural meeting place for the digital generation. Space also features The Avicii Experience – an interactive exhibition and journey into Tim ‘Avicii’ Bergling’s musical universe – as well as northern Europe’s largest permanent arena for esports.
The arena and approximately 400 gaming computers let Space target both the professional esports scene as well as the public. Focus is to create great experiences.
“For us, it is important that we offer technology and a gaming experience of the highest quality,” says Peter Ahnegård, head of Space Portal and Gaming Operations at Space. “The sign-up process, getting access to a computer, being able to order a drink while you play – it’s all part of the Space experience. And when we looked into the existing systems on the market, we didn’t think they were quite up to scratch to create what we were after. We wanted to build something that was bigger, better and cooler.”
A complex project with tough requirements, in other words. This also places high demands on quality assurance and testing.
“We realised early on that we need professional tools and methods to test the system adequately. So, we got in touch with System Verification,” says Peter Ahnegård. “Before we’d even signed an agreement, they helped us specify our needs through an initial consultative process. That inspired confidence. They demonstrated a high degree of knowledge and delivery capabilities. At the same time, they presented a number of useful tools that could benefit our project.”
System Verification’s model and services mean that the customer pays for value – not for consulting hours. For example, Health Check is a tool that quickly and easily analyses code quality and provides valuable feedback to the development team.
“We are very happy and proud of this partnership, and to be a part of the Space journey. I am confident that we’ll be able to contribute with a strategic mindset and valuable expertise within quality assurance. We look forward to a long-term cooperation defined by great flexibility. What we deliver is a complete, packaged service on a subscription basis, and we can customize our deliveries as requirements change. Our collaboration with Space is based on trust and this is exactly how we want to work. This is also how our services deliver maximum value,” says Erik Björhäll, CEO System Verification.
“Our team includes specialists from Stockholm, Malmö, Germany and Bosnia. It is a matter of ensuring Space gets the best expertise for every task. We are involved right from the start. Being responsible for setting up test automation frameworks and establishing processes also contributes to a cost-efficient delivery,” says Adam Strandh, Regional Manager at System Verification in Stockholm.
“Our partner agreement also gives System Verification employees access to the experiences we offer here at Space, so we don’t see this as a one-off. Our ambition is to continue to refine our system and live in symbiosis with our development team – and with System Verification,” concludes Peter Ahnegård.
